On our road trips along the Silk Road we kept seeing the same thing: kids everywhere, playing with worn-out, half-flat footballs held together by tape — and still lighting up the moment a ball started rolling. Football breaks the ice, opens up conversations and connects us across every border and language.
MORE THAN A GAME
Wherever we stopped, a ball changed everything in seconds. A dusty roadside became a pitch, strangers became teammates, and the language we didn’t share suddenly didn’t matter. These small games turned into some of the most honest and joyful moments of the whole trip — and the reason we want to leave more balls behind than we ever found.
